Lots to do!


I’ve been working on Tiny Monster Trainer since fall of 2021. I released it for the Thumby, and I thought I was done with it. I started learning Godot and realized that GD script is really similar to python. So I decided to bring it over to the PC and add a bunch of features that wouldn’t be possible on the Thumby! I’m pretty excited for this project.

I’m just one person though, so I expect this to take me a little while. Don’t expect the art to change too much. I don’t know that I can make awesome sprites and polish the gameplay. I’m going to try and see if I can get people to help me with the art, but I expect the game to stay black and white. This is as a tribute to the game's roots and to keep things simple.

I might focus on lore in a future Dev Log. I’m still hammering some things out, but It’s starting to solidify.

I've completed a playable demo for the PC that is almost the same as the Thumby version. Now that I have this done I will focus on new features. I want you to play as the trainer and to become a better trainer. I want you to be able to actually train monsters and motivate them to perform better in battle.
