Getting there ๐
Just an overall update.
I've had a lot of life changes over the past year that are finally starting to be behind me. So I've finally been able to devote time to working on this!
Status effects are mostly in the game, behind the scenes at least. I'll need to add some kind of visual effects and notifications to let the player know what's happening.
Poison does damage based on a % of the effected monsters HP
Burn does damage in a random range
Water does a heal over time
Cute does a confusion effect where the monster has a chance to hit itself for a set amount of damage
Mind reduces turns for all effects on the monster by a set amount of turns.
The rest boost specific stats by set amounts for a set number of turns, you can apply these again to increase the number of turns and the total of the bonus.
I want to have a status effect that can resurrect the monster, but I'm not sure how I want to manage that yet. I think I will just put a place holder in that can resurrect the monster to 25%-50% of their total life, but this can only happen once per battle. I think if you do it again you just a bonus to your tinfoil?
All of these are a work in progress that will probably change as I see how it feels in game.
Once I add some kind of notification for the status effects I'll throw the updated version onto itch.
